Tadoba, the name has been derived from Tadoba lake and God Tadoba. The interesting past of Tadoba is the God Tadoba was also known as “Taru”. According to the mythical belief of the villagers, Taru was the ruler “The Gond king” in the vicinity of Chimur and Chandrapur and was killed during the encounter with Tiger.
