Rajasthan, one of India’s most popular tourist locations, never fails to surprise its visitors. The state, which is rich in culture, history, and tradition, looks forward to welcoming tourists from all across the country to the annual Desert Festival of Jaisalmer. The greatest time to visit Jaisalmer is between October and March. But the Desert Festival, which begins in February, is the best way to see the golden city at its best. The festival aims to highlight Rajasthan’s rich cultural history. It lasts for 3 long days. The cultural spectacle charms travellers with a variety of activities, including folk dances and folk music performances set against the magnificent sand dunes.

Activities in the Festival :

Snake charmers, puppeteers, acrobats, and folk artists participate at the fair. Puppet shows, folk music and dancing, camel racing, camel polo matches, tug of war, juggling activities, turban tying, Panihari Matka race and the longest moustache competition are among the attractions. Camels, of course, play a prominent role in this event, which showcases Rajasthan’s rich and colourful traditional culture. On a moonlit night, the event concludes with an exquisite sound and light show amidst the sand dunes. These activities in the festival are the main ones.
