Take to the bicycle track to ask people to pledge to switch off for Earth Hour and make planet-friendly choices in their lives, like cycling, walking and car pooling whenever possible.
Come, pedal for the planet, and if you cant bring your bike, come 'paidal' for the planet!
Pedal for the Planet, powered by Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Company, is the signature lead-up event to Earth Hour. Every year since 2009, the cyclothon has been held to give people a chance to contribute towards the campaign and
spread the message of Earth Hour.
Who can attend?
Anyone! The event is open to all
What do I bring?
Your cycle and yourself!
Will cycles be provided?
Some cycles will be provided, but on a first-come-first-serve basis (please carry a valid government-issued ID)
When are registrations?
Register at
or on the spot from 6:00am to 7:00 am. Registrations close at sharp 7am, so please make sure you're early!
What is the distance I will be cycling/ walking?
21 km cycles, 7km walkers
Can I cycle AND walk?
Unfortunately, no - you will need to choose!
Dress code?
It's a carnival! Come dressed as the planet, as trees, as water, as the sun - and WWF India will be giving you your Earth Hour t-shirt to add to the fun!
