This beautiful image taken by Negi appears in the Oriental Bird Club, where Yashpal Negi is listed as a photographer.
The male Himalayan monal in flight was captured by Vijay Cavale while trekking around Mandakini Magpie Bird Camp hosted by Yashpal Negi.
Birders, it is time to show that you really care about birds and bird guides like Yashpal Negi whose life has been devoted to the birds of Uttarakhand.
IndianWildlifeclub.com continues to follow up the progress made by Yashpal Negi whose camp, which housed bird watchers from all over the world for 13 years, vanished overnight in the Uttarakhand flash floods.
Yashpal has received no aid/relief from any of the Government Departments.
The above is a photograph of the site close to his own house where Mr. Negi is going to build his Bird Watching Camp again. I spoke with him on 5th December 2013 and he informed that RCC work is on for the camp. He was confident that he will be able
to start hosting bird watchers from April 2013 onwards.
He still needs financial help to rebuild his camp.
