The Red Fort in Delhi, also known as Lal Qila, is a majestic Mughal-era monument built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1648. Made of red sandstone, it served as the royal residence for over 200 years. Open from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (closed on Mondays), the fort charges ₹35 for Indian visitors and ₹550 for foreign tourists. Located near Chandni Chowk, it’s best visited between October and March. Don’t miss the light and sound show in the evening and nearby attractions like Jama Masjid and Chandni
