The Red Fort in Delhi, also known as Lal Qila, is a majestic Mughal-era monument built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1648. Made of red sandstone, it served as the royal residence for over 200 years. Open from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (closed on Mondays), the fort charges ₹35 for Indian visitors and ₹550 for foreign tourists. Located near Chandni Chowk, it’s best visited between October and March.
