Forum > Travel > Is it better to choose the core zone or buffer zone in Tadoba?

Choosing between the core zone and buffer zone in Tadoba National Park depends on your travel goals and expectations. The core zone is the main protected area of the park, known for dense forests, water bodies, and a higher concentration of wildlife. If your priority is tiger sightings and a classic jungle safari experience, the core zone is usually the better option. It has limited vehicle entry, which helps maintain a more controlled and rewarding wildlife environment. On the other hand, buffer zones are less crowded and more budget-friendly. They surround the core area and offer a peaceful safari experience with increasing wildlife movement, including tigers. Many travelers now explore Tadoba safari zones in the buffer areas as they provide a quieter atmosphere and good opportunities for birdwatching and nature photography. If you are visiting for the first time, choosing at least one core safari is recommended. However, combining both core and buffer safaris can give you a more complete experience of Tadoba’s diverse landscape and wildlife.
