Kanha National Park is divided into core and buffer areas, giving visitors different ways to experience its forests and wildlife. These zones have regulated entry and limited safari permits, so advance booking is recommended, especially during peak months. The Kanha Safari Zones in the buffer areas, such as Khapa, Khatia, Sijhora, and other surrounding forests, offer a more flexible safari experience and can also provide opportunities to spot tigers, leopards, deer, birds, and other wildlife. Buffer safaris can be a good choice when core-zone permits are unavailable. Choosing between a core and buffer zone depends on your travel dates, preferred gate, availability, and wildlife expectations.
