How to Plan a Multi Family Road Trip in India Without Making It Chaotic

Posted by Vinod Sharma on August 18, 2026

Forum Post

Planning a road trip with two or three families can be amazing, but the trip can quickly become stressful if everyone has different preferences. The key is to keep the planning simple and agree on the basics before leaving.

A few things that really help:

Decide the destination together: Choose a place that works for kids, adults, and elderly family members.
Set a common budget: Discuss accommodation, food, sightseeing and transport costs beforehand.
Keep the itinerary flexible: Avoid packing too many attractions into one day. Build in breaks and some free time.
Choose transport carefully: For a larger group, travelling together in a tempo traveller can be easier than coordinating multiple cars. Everyone stays together, luggage is easier to manage, and there is less chance of vehicles getting separated.
Plan regular stops: Especially important when children or senior citizens are travelling.
Assign responsibilities: One person can handle hotels, another transport, and someone else activities or meals.

Most importantly, don't try to make every minute perfect. A little flexibility usually makes a multi family road trip much more enjoyable.

Hey everyone! 👋

If you’re planning a trip with family or a big group of friends, you know how tricky it can be to pick the right vehicle. We recently did a complete walkaround of the Force Urbania van on rent in Delhi, covering everything from seat legroom and standing height to boot space and overall comfort.

Whether you’re curious about how it compares to a traditional Tempo Traveller or just want to see what the interior actually looks like in real life, check out the walkthrough below:

▶️ Watch the Full Walkthrough Here: https://canva.link/8t109fz9d8wkjgs

A few highlights from the video:

  • Cabin Height: The 6-foot standing room makes getting in and out super easy.

  • Seat Setup: Individual reclining seats with dedicated USB ports and AC vents.

  • Luggage Space: How much room is actually left when all seats are full.

Has anyone here traveled in an Urbania for a long highway or mountain trip yet? Would love to hear your experience—did it live up to the hype?

How to Make This Raksha Bandhan Special With a Family Road Trip ?

Posted by Vinod Sharma on August 17, 2026

Forum Post

This Raksha Bandhan, make the celebration more memorable by planning a short family road trip. If you have around three days, it is a great opportunity to travel with your siblings, cousins, parents, and loved ones. Instead of spending the entire holiday at home, choose a nearby destination where everyone can relax and enjoy quality time together.

The best part of a Raksha Bandhan road trip is often not the destination but simply being together. Imagine your siblings arguing over the playlist, cousins sharing snacks, parents enjoying the views, and everyone stopping for chai along the way. For a larger family group, a tempo traveller makes this kind of shared journey much easier than coordinating several separate cars.

Destinations such as Agra, Jaipur, Rishikesh, Haridwar, or Mathura-Vrindavan are perfect for a short getaway from Delhi. With a simple itinerary and comfortable transport, your Raksha Bandhan trip can turn into a celebration filled with laughter, bonding, and unforgettable memories.

Planning a stay near the park starts with choosing the right location, room, and travel plan. A Ranthambore National Park Resort can make it easier to enjoy safari trips while keeping time for rest and local sightseeing. Worth knowing: Ranthambore Resorts vary in location, room types, dining, and access to safari zones, so check these details before booking. The catch? A resort that looks close on a map may still take time to reach your safari pickup point. Tiger Machan offers accommodation near Ranthambore with options designed for travelers visiting the national park. Check the location, available facilities, safari arrangements, and booking terms before making your choice.

What is the best time to visit Tadoba for tiger sightings?

Posted by VISHAL on August 17, 2026

Forum Post

The best time to visit Tadoba for tiger sightings is from March to May, when rising temperatures bring wildlife closer to water sources. During these warmer months, tigers are often easier to spot around lakes, ponds, and other waterholes. The best time to visit Tadoba also depends on your preferred safari experience, as winter offers pleasant weather and good opportunities for wildlife viewing. Early morning and late afternoon safaris are generally ideal for exploring the park and observing wildlife in its natural habitat. For the best chances of spotting a tiger, plan your visit during the summer months and book your safari in advance, especially during peak travel periods.

Is Goa Worth Visiting During the Monsoon? My Honest Take

Posted by Resort Rio on August 14, 2026

Forum Post

A lot of people skip Goa during the rainy season because they assume everything shuts down. After looking into it and talking to people who've visited, I think the monsoon offers a completely different side of Goa that's actually worth experiencing.

Instead of crowded beaches and peak-season traffic, you get lush green landscapes, misty roads, overflowing waterfalls, and a much more peaceful atmosphere. Monsoon travel to Goa has also been gaining popularity, with a noticeable rise in people choosing short "micro-cations" during the rainy season.

A few things I found interesting:

  • Waterfalls like Dudhsagar look their best during the rains.

  • Scenic drives through the Western Ghats become much more beautiful.

  • Hotels and resorts often have better availability than in peak season.

  • Beaches are still great for walks and sightseeing, although swimming and water sports are generally restricted because of rough seas.

Of course, it isn't the right season if your main goal is parasailing or jet skiing. But if you're looking for a relaxing getaway with good food, spa experiences, and cozy indoor amenities, monsoon can be surprisingly rewarding.

I found this guide helpful because it covers both the pros and the limitations instead of making it sound perfect: Is Goa Worth Visiting During the Monsoon? A Complete Guide

Has anyone here visited Goa between June and September? I'd love to know whether you preferred it over the busy winter season.

Chitkul: A Complete Travel Guide to India's Last Inhabited Village

Posted by BizareXpedition on August 13, 2026

Forum Post

Introduction

Nestled in the breathtaking Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Chitkul is often called the last inhabited village before the Indo-Tibet border. Surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, lush green meadows, and the crystal-clear Baspa River, this peaceful village is a dream destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Unlike crowded hill stations, Chitkul offers untouched beauty, fresh mountain air, and a chance to experience the simple lifestyle of the local Kinnauri people. Whether you’re planning a road trip or looking for a quiet escape, Chitkul promises memories that will last a lifetime.

History of Chitkul

Chitkul has been an important settlement for centuries due to its strategic location near the Indo-Tibet border. Historically, it served as a stop on the ancient Indo-Tibetan trade route, where traders exchanged goods such as wool, salt, and spices. The village is also known for the centuries-old Mathi Temple, dedicated to the local deity Mathi Devi, who is believed to protect the region. Today, while modern roads have made the village more accessible, Chitkul continues to preserve its traditional wooden houses, unique customs, and rich cultural heritage.

Why Visit Chitkul?

Chitkul is one of the few places in India where nature remains largely untouched. Every season transforms the landscape into something magical. During summer, vibrant green valleys and colorful wildflowers create postcard-perfect scenery, while winter blankets the village in snow, making it a paradise for snow lovers. Visitors can enjoy peaceful walks along the Baspa River, witness stunning mountain sunrises, interact with friendly locals, and experience authentic Himachali hospitality. The calm atmosphere makes it an ideal destination for photographers, couples, solo travelers, and families alike.

Top Places to Visit in Chitkul

The Baspa River is the heart of Chitkul, offering mesmerizing views and peaceful riverside walks. The Mathi Temple is one of the village’s most significant landmarks, showcasing beautiful traditional Kinnauri architecture. Nature lovers should also visit the Baspa Valley, famous for its breathtaking landscapes and picturesque villages. The iconic Hindustan Ka Aakhri Dhaba (India’s Last Dhaba) is a popular stop where travelers enjoy local food while soaking in mountain views. Nearby, the Rakcham Village provides another scenic destination with beautiful meadows and wooden homes that reflect Himachal’s rich heritage.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Chitkul is from April to June and September to October, when the weather is pleasant and roads remain easily accessible. Summer offers comfortable temperatures, making it perfect for sightseeing and photography. During autumn, the changing colors of the valley create spectacular views. Travelers who enjoy snowfall can visit between December and February, but should be prepared for freezing temperatures and possible road closures due to heavy snow.

What is the price per km for tempo traveller in Delhi?

Posted by Vinod Sharma on August 12, 2026

Forum Post

The tempo traveller price per km in Delhi depends mainly on the seating capacity, vehicle model, trip distance, and whether it is a local or outstation journey.

For 2026, published Delhi rates commonly start around ₹23 per km for a 9 seater and can go up to around ₹30 to ₹35 per km for larger or premium vehicles. A 12 seater may be around ₹24 per km, while 16 and 20 seater options can be approximately ₹26 and ₹30 per km respectively.

However, the per km rate is not always the final cost. Driver charges, tolls, parking, state taxes, minimum daily kilometres, and GST may be applicable depending on the booking.

If you are comparing quotes, share your pickup location, destination, travel dates, number of passengers, and required seating capacity. This will help you get a more accurate tempo traveller fare instead of comparing only the per km rate.
