Elephants in Kerala will soon have the luxury of 'ambulance' service to transport sick and injured jumbos. For the first time, the state Forest Department has launched an animal ambulance, a specially designed vehicle for elephants at the Wayanad Wildlife
Sanctuary (WWS), a paradise of wild jumbos in north Kerala.

KOLHAPUR: In a major boost to the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC), the National Wildlife Board on Wednesday approved construction work inside the Radhanagari wildlife sanctuary for the Kalammawadi direct pipeline project.

The National Green Tribunal Wednesday issued directions to ban the practice of crop burning in Delhi and four neighbouring states. While observing that the practice was having an adverse impact on air quality in the national capital, the bench also issued
directions to incentivise farmers to ensure the crop residue is not burnt and educate them about the harmful effects of pollution.
