Shops disrupt drive against pollution on temple tank (February Week #2 (2015))
TRICHY: The cleaning work being carried out at the Rockfort temple might go in vain, if the city corporation fails to crack the whip in those who are littering the centuries-old tank. In the past month, huge mounds of plastic bags, thrown out from mobile
eateries lining the temple, have been collected from the tanks with the help of college students.

Although the corporation has already passed an eviction order against the eateries, a number of them still spring up overnight, adding to the pollution and hindering the cleaning process.
