    Susan I have been to Kedar nath wildlife sanctuary-trekked in Chopta, to Tungnath

    SeaDeweller But i have in my quest seen lots of marine life been destroyed for commercial purposes

    SeaDeweller could u tell me something about the Mnt. Everest Base camp treks

    SeaDeweller and any other exciting places i could go

    Altaf We are experts in the Indian Himalaya, however one can reach base camp without any experience as long as you are in reasonable physical condition

    Altaf have you been on any trek before and what altitude

    SeaDeweller how many days does it take

    SeaDeweller Just to Pindari, Kafani glaciers

    SeaDeweller but not of high altitude ones

    Altaf I would for sure advise you to go on Nanda Devi East base camp trek starting from Munsari or on Gochala Trek in Sikkim

    SeaDeweller Wanted to do Mnt. Killimanjaro & couple of others

    SeaDeweller any contacts i could get info

    SeaDeweller anyone organising in Sikkim

    Altaf Mt. Kilimanjaro is in Africa an is not a difficult peak at all it is below 6000mts, Try to do Stok Kangri in Ladakh which is 6100mts, a trekking Peak

     Altaf can I ask you name please, which part of India you come from

    SeaDeweller & always hafta plan my trips

    SeaDeweller As i get only 45 days leave every year

    Altaf Bombay is a lovely place

    SeaDeweller yeah & i have explored extreme corners of it

    SeaDeweller where u frm?

    Altaf You need only 21 days to climb Stok kangri, and about 14 days for nandaDevi base cmp and about 16 days for Gochala in Sikkim,

    Altaf I am from Delhi, born n Kashmir Himlaya, and have led may foreign expeditions in the Indian Himalaya

    Altaf Is there a lot to explore in Mumbai

    SeaDeweller yes , in & around we have hot springs & small hills to trek over a day

    SeaDeweller v also have National Parks & Beaches

    Altaf We are presently exploring trekking in South India ( western Ghats) and in Sri lanka, Mumbai could be a good option

    SeaDeweller Yeah especially in Monsoon

    SeaDeweller There r places like Malshej Ghat with water falls

    Altaf Not sure about trekking in Monsoon, that can be bit wet in tents

     SeaDeweller & Mahabaleshwar which is a Hill stn

    SeaDeweller Then winter is the best season

    SeaDeweller as its very humid in summer

    Susan Trekking in Matheran is a good outing for a day or two

    Altaf I think you should explore Himalaya more, for the sheer beauty and peace! Indeed any time after monsoon is good

    SeaDeweller i wanna ask u, have u heard anyone doing para gliding in the Himalays

    Altaf I think I am really happy to trek in the Himalays

    Susan I cannot agree more with Altaf

    Altaf Great, I think we should get a group together

    Susan Paragliding is done in Billing, H.P

    SeaDeweller its a non fuelled flight

    Altaf also in Manali, and we are exploring options in Kashmir

    SeaDeweller & u can travel around days in the mauntains with breaks

    Altaf Yes dont get lost and become Sadhu in gangotori

    SeaDeweller i would love to fly around & land whereevr its beautiful

    SeaDeweller for treks , r there any company in India who make food which has more nutritional value & less weight

    Altaf Think of Ladakh, the exciting Landing over Mighty Himalaya and the Karakorms, and enjoy the beauty of High altitude desert
